In 1968, Epson launched the EP-101 which was the world’s first miniature digital printer. Epson are leading again with their new Heat-Free Inkjet Technology, which is both cheaper and more environmentally friendly than either other inkjet or laser technologies.

The world is using more power now than ever before. Why would you want to burn money powering a laser or standard heated inkjet device when you can have Epson’s environmentally friendly, heat-free inkjet technology.

Epson’s inkjet is a cold process and requires no drums, fusers, transfer belts, etc., so, beyond topping up the paper, and with up to 50,000 uninterrupted pages from one ink pack, there is very little that needs your attention. This means fewer deliveries of consumables and, for many small businesses, this device eliminates the hassle associated with other printers and can be virtually, “fit and forget”.

Printers supplied by MiD also take advantage of our Managed Print Service, benefiting from included consumables and servicing, so, when the ink is low, its ordered automatically, and when its time to take meter readings, they are recorded and sent automatically too.

NO WARM-UP – as it’s a cold process. Laser printers have to wait until they heat up to 200 degrees, but Epson’s heat-free devices print in under 5 seconds, so smaller print runs would be completed before a laser device even had chance to warm up!

ZERO HEAT = Lower Ozone Gas Emissions. Laser devices kick out a lot of heat, but that’s not a problem with Epson’s heat-free inkjet technology which reduces your ozone emissions and uses up to 83% less energy.
